We've travelled by plane, boat, train and car through all of Western Europe. We have done a home stay in Austria, spent months traveling by trains, cruised from the Baltic to the Mediterranean and done a river cruise down the Rhine. We have 9 former exchange students who live in Germany, Italy, France, Poland, Spain and Belgium who we get to visit and live like locals. We've spent months living in places across the continent including on a houseboat in the Netherlands a cottage in the Yorkshire Dales, a summer house in Iceland, an apartment overlooking the ramparts in St. Malo, and have done a driving tour of Christmas Markets from Budapest to Strasbourg. We spend a few months every year exploring new and favorite locations in the UK. In England, we have annual stops in the New Forest, the Cottswolds, The Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales as well as the North York Moors. And in Scotland, we are esspecially fond of the Fife Coast, Royal Deeside, the North Coast 500, the Hebrides, Orkneys and Shetland Islands, and a very special bakery in Callendar!
