Australia/New Zealand

After spending Christmas in Fiji, we explored the east coast of Australia by boat, plane and car. We drove the Great Ocean Road from Melbourne to Adelaide, went inland to Beechworth, back to Brisbane on the coast, out to snorkel on the 15 shipwrecks on Moreton Island, up to Cairns, where we stayed aboard a dive boat and spent three days on the Great Barrier Reef, then headed north to Kuranda and Cape Tribulation, where we stayed in a treehouse in the rainforest. We took a helicopter around Darwin, a plane to the Horizontal Waterfalls and across the Kimberly, snorkeled on the Ningaloo Reef, caught the beach vives of Geraldton, fell in love with the port town of Fremantle, ate the best seafood in the country in Port Lincoln, swam with dolphins in the wild on Kangaroo Island, did our Christmas shopping in Melbourne, watched whales in Eden, and climbed the bridge in Sydney before exploring with the good people of Gladstone. We cruised to Tazmania and visited both Hobart and Burnie. We love both islands of New Zealand. We've had sun and storms in the fiords of Milford, Dusky and Doubtful Sounds, enjoyed city sites and albatrosses in Dunedin, flown down the Wairiki River in jet boats and gone 4 wheeling in the mountains above, played with Hector's Dolphins in Akaroa, explored Napier in a London cab, kayaked the sounds around Picton, and tasted beers in Wellington. On the North Island, we rode motorcycles around Mount Maunganui and Tauranga, took in all the sparkling sites of Auckland, traipsed around the Bay Of Islands in kayaks and on foot, and went white water rafting in Rotorua.
